Help Us Record and Promote Our New CD Four and Twenty Blackbirds!

As most of you know, not only is my husband James Whitmire managing my career and booking my shows he is also a poet. We have been writing together and will be recording these songs for our very first CD "Four and Twenty Blackbirds".

There is a great deal of time and cost involved in recording and promoting a CD and with your generous help we can meet this challenge. Whether or not you’re able to contribute we want you to know how much your continued support and encouragement mean to us.

Writing and playing music wouldn’t be much fun without you so come share our journey with us as we put these songs out into the world! Find out how you can participate by visiting our Kapipal website at

We’ll be posting our experiences here as the process unfolds so come share our journey with us as we put these songs out into the world!

Thanks and Happy New Year!!!

Happy Anniversary to James and Me!

Well, it's the end of a Monday night and I've just finished writing up my column for BC Musicians Magazine and a grant application. James is sleeping and I am so happy I found him. He's an amazing fella and I feel so lucky to have him in my life. We met 4 years ago today online and within 3 months we both knew it was the real deal. He's a retired donkey rancher, raised American Mammoth Jackstock and after retiring started to write poetry which is what brought us together. We've written a bunch of new stuff that will be on the next recording to be released next spring.

We were married in Jackson, TN 3 years ago today, I can hardly believe it's been 3 years already. Anyway we were married at Lewis Bail Bonds office by the local county commissioner...one would have thought his office would be in city hall but nope, a bail bonds office, how perfect is that!!!

We spent our wedding night on Loretta Lynn's tour bus, how cool is that! I found this really cool sign at the Casey Jones museum where we went and had lunch after the ceremony. Which way do we go?

Well, better head off to bed, we have lots to do before my big show at The own Home on Thursday, then I head up to Toronto for a show at Hugh's Room on Oct. 31 and Nov. 5th at the Cadillac Lounge with Andrea Ramolo and Diana Catherine. Alison Brown and Annabelle Chvostek will be joining me for a few songs on that set too. If you're in the neighbourhood, please come say hi. For more tour info check my schedule at www.lindamcrae.com

Four and Twenty Blackbirds

Hi Folks: This is a brand new experience for me. I have a blog on my website but I thought I'd better get up with the times and create a blog here as well. Hope you come back from time to time and check out what's happening with me these days!

Lots has been happening recently. I'll be in the studio soon and will be releasing my new CD "Four and Twenty Blackbirds" on my own label 42 Records, (Music that Counts). I'll be recording in Vancouver, BC with my friend Marc L'Esperance producing. Marc produced my most recent CD "Carve It To the Heart". He has a new studio and I'm very excited about working with him again on this project.

I've just come back from Ottawa, where I was an invited mentor at the Ontario Council of Folk Festivals. I had a wonderful experience there and have been offered an official showcase at next year's Folk Alliance Conference as a direct result.

My husband/Manager James and I are heading to Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta and BC for a November tour. Please visit www.lindamcrae.com for full tour schedule, dates, times and whereabouts.

Thanks ya'll...oh by the way, I have a regular column in BC Musician's Magazine, check that out at http://www.bcmusicianmag.com/ .

Bye for now and give me a buzz to say hi, I'd to hear from you!
